
Lyrid Luau was Great Success!
The 5th Street Marina hosted it’s Lyrid Luau on April 21, during the Lyrid meteor shower. It was a cloudy night, so not many shooting stars were seen but over a hundred people enjoyed a Caja China pig roast, music by DJ Penny, and visual art by artists Veronica Saenz, Sacha Suarez, and Suzanne Ludwig. New Surveillance System
In partnership with Homeland Security, the 5th Street Marina has completed the installation of ten high definition video camera’s staged at locations around the marina. The 228ft SeaFair pulled into the 5th Street Marina this week in preparation for the Miami International Art Show January 12-16th at Downtown’s Intercontinental Hotel. The crew and exhibitors this week are busy converting the $40 million dollar super yacht into a floating art gallery and premier exhibition space and then later in the week will move out to the show location.

480-Volt Power Options
The 5th Street Marina has completed the installation of two 277/480 volt- 3 phase power stations. Each station has an output of 200 amps and can be combined to provide 400 amps overall. The addition of these stations gives the marina the flexibility to berth vessels with large power demands, typically in the 150lft+ range. Capability exists to add three more stations if necessary.

5th Street Marina Expands Free WIFI Access
The 5th Street Marina has added additional WIFI outdoor access points to expand free WIFI service for customers of the marina. Antenna’s have been mounted at different locations with each set to a unique frequency. Equipment on the vessel or nearby can sometimes cause interference on a particular frequency. Now, customers have several options to choose from and the signals have been reportedly been strong.
